EP (Evangelical Presbyterian) Church joins loud condemnation of homosexuality

The Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Church, Ghana, on Sunday joined the growing condemnation of homosexuality in Ghana, saying attempts to justify the abominable behaviour were unacceptable.

The Reverend Joyce Kofi Kodade, Moderator of the West Volta Presbytery of the E.P. Church, said the explanation that homosexuality could be biological, psychological, or social behaviour is untenable.

He said: “If you know you are sick, go for treatment, see a doctor, if you think it is psychological, see a counsellor. Don't justify homosexuality by the laws.

“According to the law you may be right but according to the will of God, you are wrong.”

Rev. Kodade was delivering a sermon during the consecration of 11 presbyters of the Seraphim E.P. Church, at Kaneshie in Accra, on the theme: “Living According to the Will of God.”

He stressed that homosexuality was unchristian and should not be tolerated, saying “It is not the will of God. It cannot be justified and it cannot be accepted”.

Rev. Kodade condemned teachers who were preying on innocent students and having unnatural carnal knowledge of them, and asked children to promptly report such practices from their teachers to school authorities.

“If teachers approach you or do that to you, come out and report them. Tell your school authorities or your peers. Be bold and God will bless you,” he said.

Rev. Kodade called on parents and opinion leaders to openly condemn such practices.

He reminded the presbyters that they were servants and not masters, adding that the role of the Christian was to give hope and assurance, and to teach the people to be like Christ, to ensure peace in the world.

Exactly. And praise God for that - He uses His people where and when they are needed. Now if Europe and America can get past their (our) arrogance and let the pupil be the teacher, perhaps we can begin to reverse the heinous direction our nations have taken.

its a real shame that if a church talks boldly like that here in America anymore they are lucky to stay in business.

It's supremely ironic, is it not? And hallelujah!

Asia and Africa!

We drove God out of America, but He can always find a place to stay.

In the matter of condemnation: Since my Christ forsaken, God-mocking state of NY voted as it has I loudly and openly condemn homosexuality in the truest, strongest terms there are. This is NOT a reaction. Rather it is simply the Truth as I know it Previously I would keep certain of my opinions to myself since a perverts lifestyle didn’t include or concern me. But since they have seen fit to shove it in my face as it were, I do not hold back. And if the perverst don’t like it and, say, try to find remedy at law...well, then we’re gonna have some trouble.

It’s about time the churches begin to speak out. The silence from organized religion has been a source for condemnation and punishment from God.
