If you are not a Jew and are a Christian, you are NOT REQUIRED to circumcize your son (IOW, there is NO RELIGIOUS REQUIREMENT IN CHRISTIANITY FOR CIRCUMCISION. You are free to do as you see fit).

These articles are useful to support a sexually active adults decision for the procedure. If there are other medical issues relative to personal hygiene or particular problems with recurrent infections then also one can proceed with the surgery.
Otherwise, without a medical issue, the procedure should be regarded as an unnecessary violation of the integrity of a human being. Children are not chattel, pets or objects to be tinkered with and are deserving of basic protections from actions of others, well-intentioned or not.
