We have our disagreements, to be sure - but they are family matters.

Yes, it is hard for many (including me or rather especially me!) to forget disagreements, but I should at least have some sense -- if my brother's house next door is burning and I do not help, the flames will spread to my house.

That's not a very Christian thought I agree, just self-preservation, but we need to at the very least have this.

I joined in the glee at the ECUSA electing Gene as a failure, but I realised soon enough that the media used this as an attack point for ALL Christians.

He won't.

I know. I submit that people who make claims like his but can't back them up "have a pathological or a mental disorder".

There seems to be a tendancy to assume that "Protestants" are an homogenous group of believers. Not evereyone who protests against a practice or doctrine of the Catholic Church protests against the same practice or doctrine (and, of course, some of us don't think we're protesting anyway).

I'm a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, a reasonably orthodox christian congregation of believers. Our's is a confessional church whose doctrine is written and has not changed.
