Upon What Foundation Do You Wish to Build The Future of the U.S.A.?

As a nation we have a government that reflects the people of this nation. Our founding Fathers set up our nation based on simple Biblical truths and Biblical morality. Our laws are based on the nd 10 commandments. Don’t believe me? Well look at the top of the Supreme Court building and you will see Moses holding the Ten Commandments with the last 5 visible and in Hebrew. Today many on the left and some on the far right “Libertarian Right” are fighting to change our nation from within and put out the light on our Shining City Upon a hill and replace it with an decaying city upon a cesspool of iniquity.

Many today say that they want to bring our nation back to the intent of the founding fathers and in the same breath say we must take religion and morality out of our nation because government does not have the right to dictate personal behavior.

John Adams said it is “religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.”

I assume we can all agree that John Adams was one of our nation’s founding fathers and does this sound like someone who thought that we should not have a Biblically based moral government? No, he understood that for this nation to survive and prosper we needed to have a stable and moral society.

John Quincy Adams, our nation’s 6th President, said “The law given from Sinai was a civil and municipal as well as a moral and religious code; it contained many statutes . . .

“The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.”

Excellent! This is the truth.

Personally, I avoid the word “values” like the plague. I much prefer virtue. Virtue is related to Truth. And wise people know the Source of all truth.

The foundation was undercut. Natural erosion took place. People look for deities whether they be government or other esoteric ‘pats on the back’. It takes a rather strong bias, and selectivity over reality, to reach the level we are (in general) at. Bias needs to be fed, as it usually countermands reality.

It’s time we stop promoting evil and get back to what our founding fathers intended. A society rooted in Biblical morality that can be found in the teaching of the Christian Church.

The same conservatives and Christians who would stand up and give a hearty cheer for this essay, will (today) send their kids off to godless government schools. In these government schools the children **will** learn to think godlessly. They must simply to cooperate with the classroom indoctrination.

The foundation of our nation is the constitution and it has been ignored, put down, defied, mocked and twisted beyond any logical constraint by both major political parties, and all faiths, creeds and colors. We don’t need a new foundation, we just need to use our current foundation.

On the very foundation it was first founded upon, Jesus Christ.

Every American should read “The Light and the Glory”, by Peter Marshall and David Emanuel. You can order it through Borders and they will send it directly to your home. It is the unvarnished history of our country from l492, which no one will get anywhere else. Beautifully written, and truthfully and extensively researched, a true blessing to us all. Now it is our job during these corrupt times to see that everyone in all of our families read this important book, for their sakes, and for the sake of our beloved country.
