Correction. Seventh-day Advenstists did not exist as an institution until 1863... Please get your historical references correct.
The event you are referencing refers to the "Great Disapointment" and Millerite movement of 1843-44. Millerite followers came forth to the movement from Baptist, Methodist and other mainstream Christians organizations... this was not an SDA event... it began in Europe from protestant circles and took hold in America... It was a major event within Chrisitanity in that day.
As a result of the great disapointment, even more denominations were formed, including Seventh-Day Adventism & Seventh-Day Baptists, as well as Jehovah's Witnesses.
Major protestant denominations conveniently try to isolate themselves from this event and try to make this seem like a marginal event, when in reality this event shook the very foundations of Christianity in that day.

You’re trying to white-wash the 7th-Day Adventist movement itself. Ellen Gould White provided the hocus-pocus cover to account for the Great Disappointment, making outlandish and silly claims as her excuses. She just about puts Joseph Smith to shame.

The JW’s had their own “End Days”.
In fact many of them sold off or gave away their belongings in anticipation of them and were left with nothing when the world continued and they were still here.

I did get my facts straight! And you proceeded to support my point perfectly. If you don’t think the Millerite movement wasn’t the predecessor of SDA you need to correct a large number of documents. Frankly, I think you owe me an apology.
