I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this May 21, date was inspired by Satan. Yep, and Camping is his tool.

strong words CCC

If people turn their backs on God and salvation through Jesus Christ because of this Judgement Day circus, it plays directly into Satan’s hands. It’s the old, “Fool me once...” mindset. No one likes feeling duped. Unfortunately, in this case it could result in lost souls. So yeah, I do think this May 21 “Judgement Day” may very well be what turns more hearts away from God than toward Him.

Perhaps they are strong words, but God has some extra-serious problems in store for people who claim to be ministers and lead others astray.

James 3:1 "Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly."

Here are some results for false prophets.

I do think it helps to have the authority of a denomination, or other Godly men, to correct errors. Mr. Camping struck out on his own, and seems to answer to no one. People need the body. That's biblical, and Mr. Camping instructs people that they don't need a church body. Am I interpreting him correctly?
