Baptist Hide and Seek
[...]Remember: Most clergy child molesters have never been convicted of anything. Of all the Catholic priests who have been removed from ministry, only 3 percent were able to be criminally prosecuted and only 2 percent were ever jailed. If Catholics themselves had not taken action - finally - over 700 child molesting priests would still be working in ministry. The largest Protestant denomination needs to do something about this problem as well.[...]

Compare the stats!
You know you are talking to a bunch of dope smokers?
There is none. Absolutely on outrage unless it is a Roman Catholic Priest.
There is no outrage when it is a teacher from the Government sponsored schools.
There is no outrage if is a health care worker or social worker employed by Government.
Yet all of these sources, that interact with children are prone to the same levels of abuse.
Perhaps it is not identifiable by religion or vocation... perhaps it is human fallibility and parents should be aware that a human can fail on a “personal” level.. nothing else... personal choices.
Out of curiousity, are there any breakdown numbers as to boy vs. girl Protestant abuse victims?
how many school teachers, administrators, or workers have been let go due to molesting kids?
last stat i saw on that had it around 700 per year. PER YEAR.
funny how they never talk about it (except in a ‘aint that cool’ light)
Stop ALL predators, CATHOLICS, Baptists, protestants ALIKE!
Sin is common to all men.. the difference is there is not cover up.. not moving sex offenders around to give them new hunting grounds..no payoffs by some hierarchy to cover their butts.. the sin starts in the pants of a young man and then goes all the way to Rome
The greatest sin of Rome is that knowing who the offenders are and what they did they spent millions covering it up
what’s done in the dark will be brought to the light”
Let’s all face it and not religion-bash, shall we?
EVERY person in authority over children has the potential to abuse. Clergy. Teachers. Counselors. Scout leaders, coaches, chess teachers, bus drivers, mentors, uncles, and last but definitely not least, PARENTS.
And pedophiles SEEK such occupations!!
We need to personally supervise our children as much as is humanly possible.
Guys it’s Easter. Can’t we pick this up on Monday. It’s Easter.
These are where you would likely find the most pedophiles per congregation.
The MSM attacks the Catholic Church through the vows of celibacy and the breaking of such in the sexual abuse of children and the decades of cover-up; it attacks Protestants, most particularly Evangelicals, through the marriage vows and the breaking of such in adulterous and homosexual affairs. This gives the godless media two ways to attack Believers.
Catholicism is centralized, Protestants much less sothis makes the Catholic Church an easy target as an entity, particularly when a decades-long cover-up was revealed. OTOH, since it’s more complicated to attack the variety of denominational heads, Evangelicals, grouped together despite major doctrinal differences, are usually all portrayed as kooks or snake-oil salesmen.
Any religion can have pedophiles, adulterers and homosexuals in the clergy, vows of celibacy or of marital devotion notwithstanding. Before our religious preferences make us wallow in victim-hood, we should remember that it is a blessing to be persecuted for our Lord and Savior and that our best revenge against the persecutors is to pray for them.
