Can't believe FR missed this one. I always said Madonna would return to the Catholic faith before it was all said and done. We'll see.

Wouldn’t it be something if she renounced her former life and devoted herself to the Church...that would blow some minds.

How much do I have to pay to be a believer? Bills, bills, bills.

The extremely affluent and the extremely impoverished are same.

Neither has ability to adhere to coherent value system based on reason.

Both act out of momentary necessity.

Does she realize Opus Dei is very conservative?

She’s hopping from one cult to the next because there isn’t a single man she hasn’t screwed yet. Either that or there aren’t any left who would want to. Either way, as talentless whores go, she’s now a bag lady.

Madonna needs to free the two slaves she bought from Africa and return them to their families.

Well, the problem is most of us Catholics don’t really want her. I know, I know, God forgives sinners, even the worst and her forgiveness is between her and God. However, the RCIA needs to be done for her again and also, she’s way too flighty on religious matters for me to welcome a repentant person. But, then I would have been among those doubting Alice Cooper when he became Christian and look at him now (ok, don’t look, but read about his Christian life!)

Wouldn’t that be something if she did. I deplore much of her behavior, of course, but have always felt sorry for her.
Lost can not be a good place to be no matter her incredible wealth. Opus Dei is quite a swing to a modest lifestyle and behavior.

Never happen.

One cannot be loved by the world and love GOD at the same time.

She can only server one master.

It can’t be too secretive...I get daily messages and ponderings from Opus Dei in my email.

She can return to the Catholic faith if she wants to, but because she is divorced, she cannot be given Absolution or take part in any Sacraments without approval from the Church.

A friend of mine wanted to go back to the Church and she was divorced and remarried and was told it would take her years to get approval from the Bishop and because her current husband is not a Catholic, she may not get approval anyway...

She’s searching.

“If with all your heart you truly seek Me, you shall find Me.”

Problem is, is she really being honest with herself?. IMHO, she is really desirous of finding Him, but being a Christian demands we become humble fools for God. That’s so un PC. She seems to want to work her way to God, on her own terms.

I’d love to see her find Christ. She wants to be on fire for a belief; would’t it be great for her to find a REAL faith.

She's likely going to Opes Dei because it's Spanish. She has a great attraction to Miami Cubans and Cuban culture. Likely some Cuban friend's parents steered her toward Opes Dei.

As far as “talks”, it's quite simple, she has to abandon her old ways, sins of the flesh (heterosexual & aberrosexual). She's never been married in the Church (that I know of), therefore that obstacle does not exist).

She has enough money that she can abandon the whole music scene. Of what I saw of her doing for entertainment in Miami (I would see her here and there during the daylight hours boating and jogging and such) she's not a big spender.

So, anything is possible.

I do hope it is for sincere reasons though, such as truly wanting to have a deep, full faith.

The singer is said to be intrigued by the organisation and spent Friday with priests from the centre’s London HQ.

Who doubtlessly told her:

  1. Repent of the sins of your past life, and resolve not to continue in them
  2. Regularize your marital situation in the eyes of the church
  3. Make a good confession, and continue to do so on a regular basis
  4. Devoutly attend Holy Mass at least weekly
  5. Develop a "plan of life" involving a regular pattern of daily prayer and spiritual reading
Let's see what she does with that.

Madonna is the perfect example of the saying, “Our hearts are restless, Lord, until we rest in Thee”
