Mormons held service and dinner with muzzies.

Huh, I missed that. Got a link for some proof?

Supposed "Christian" church goers support killing of our troops too, what's your point?

All teaching should be watched, questioned and challenged. Connecting a fire and claiming the religion is to blame is absurd.

I just don't get the ongoing bashing of Mormon's here.

Every day but Sunday, Mormons send out over 52,000 missionaries around the globe who claim all Christians are apostates. (They call it the "universal apostasy" and "restoration")

By comparison, what? There's a few dozen FREEPERS who challenge Mormonism's claims?

Seems you're imbalanced. Why don't you go after the 52,000 vs. the handful of FReepers?

All true-believing Mormons also tithe.

Tell us, LVR: Let's say, Ron a new church sprung up in your 'Vegas neighborhood.

Let's say they added "Revelation 23" to their Bible.

Let's say some unnamed entities appeared unto their leader, and he reported as part of "Revelation 23": My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)—and which I should join.I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were ALL WRONG; and the Personage who addressed me said that ALL their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were ALL corrupt; [Note to Ron: this in fact "Mormon scripture" -- Joseph Smith 1, vv. 18-19 in the Pearl of Great Price]

Furthermore, the leader of this "newbie church" claimed he was "lay[ing] the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth" [Note to Ron: This is in fact "Mormon scripture" -- Doctrine & Covenants 1:30]

Furthermore, the leader of this "newbie church" claimed that this "Only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth" was the "church of the Lamb of God" -- and he translated an ancient document which said: "Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth." [Note to Ron: This is in face "Mormon scripture" - 1 Nephi 14:10 from the Book of Mormon]

Now let's say that this church grew to 14 million around the world -- and that about 5-6 of million of them tithed to spread the above message into over 100 different languages.

Fact: Mormon "scriptures" bash Christians 24/7 as the "church of the devil" ... a false and dead church...full of "corrupt" professing apostate believers who embrace 100% putrid creeds...
...and they do this in all kinds of languages every hour of every day.

Yet not a complaint from you, Ron. Why not? You don't mind if the Christian church is slandered in such a way?

Mormon Times article

In Costa Mesa, Calif., Mormons were invited to break the fast with area Muslims during Ramadan. Southern California Latter-day Saints participated in at least 10 different interfaith iftars (break-the-fasts) throughout the area.

Mormons and Muslims in Southern California recently broke the fast together at several events scheduled during Ramadan.

Ramadan is a 30-day religious period during which Muslims fast from before sunrise to about sunset. It is a common Muslim practice to invite people of other faiths to join them in an interfaith iftar, or fast-breaking dinner, one evening during Ramadan. Southern California Latter-day Saints participated in at least 10 different interfaith iftars throughout the area.

Sabiha Quidwai, Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC) executive assistant, explained that Ramadan is "a month of increased blessings and spiritual upliftment," and it is "the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and it is the month when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk each day." She said, "The iftar, or fast breaking, takes place at sunset."

Besides these events, the Garden Grove, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach and Temecula stakes offered to host special break the fast events with their Muslim neighbors who in turn invited the LDS members to hold the event at the local mosques.

“Every day but Sunday, Mormons send out over 52,000 missionaries around the globe who claim all Christians are apostates. (They call it the “universal apostasy” and “restoration”)”

Every day there are millions of Christians who challenge Mormons to accept Jesus.

“By comparison, what? There’s a few dozen FREEPERS who challenge Mormonism’s claims? “

Well then you’d better get busy with something more effective. How many have you converted?

You seem to be missing a lot of things. I'll give you the honor of looking it up . If I were to say what ever, you would sit back and not believe it because you've already seem to have your mind made up.

drift - perhaps you should pay attention better. About a month ago mormons blamed several fires on Christians HERE ON FR. As it turned out it was mormons who set the fires - not Christians. Here another fire is the result of mormon facility not to code - but there will probably be mormons blaming Christians again. Perhaps putting the truth out will prevent foolish mormons here from continuing to do the same again.

My FRiend, I don't care what anyone says or does, my Faith is true and steadfast.

Just as I don't care if a man takes an image of Christ and submerges it in urine, I will pray that they somehow someday see the light.

I do not need to bash other belief es to justify my own, sorry.

To do so would show weakness in by own faith, JMHO.

Stick around and read more threads. Then you will have a basis for your comments. As it is, it appears you know nothing about the subject...a poor foundation on which to build.

Wow, you don’t get it do you? One who has faith does not have to quote nor belittle to know....you don’t know.

Are you going to, upon meeting the apostle Paul in heaven, proceed to lecture him as well?

"Wow, Paul, you didn't 'get it,' did you, Paul? One who has faith does not have to quote Athenian objects of worship...you didn't know, Paul, did you when Luke wrote in Acts 17:

Then Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus and said: 'Men of Athens!@ I see that you are extremely religious in every respect. For as I was passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed:

TO AN UNKNOWN GOD

Thefefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you." (Acts 17:22-23)

And then Paul proceeded to quote some of their own poets in Acts 17:28 as well.

Sorry, LVR...I don't by your castigation of the apostle Paul (by association) just because he quoted those he was witnessing to and proclaimed they were ignorant.

You need a LOT of work on your level of Biblical literacy before you hit the "big-time" lecture circuit

So it was absurd when the mormans blamed non-mormans, but its legit when non-mormans blame mormans while using proof it was a lighting problem.

My FRiend, I don't care what anyone says or does, my Faith is true and steadfast.

So what are you doing on this thread? Is it that you believe mormonism is so feeble and UnChristian that you must defend it? If so, it would be best to learn something about it first.

Here's a start for those who profess to be Christian:

"Evening Meeting. Prayer By E Stephenson. Joseph F Smith spoke One hour & 25 M. He spoke upon the Marriage in Cana at Galilee. He thought Jesus was the Bridgegroom and Mary & Martha the brides. He also refered to Luke 10 ch. 38 to 42 verse, Also John 11 ch. 2 & 5 vers John 12 Ch 3d vers, John 20 8 to 18. Joseph Smith spoke upon these passages to show that Mary & Martha manifested much Closer relationship than Merely A Believer which looks Consistet. He did not think that Jesus who decended through Poligamous families from Abraham down & who fulfilled all the Law even baptism by immersion would have lived and died without being married." Wilford Woodruff's Journal 8:187, July 22, 1883 (misspellings included in original)
-------------------

"I discover that some of the Eastern papers represent me as a great blasphemer, because I said, in my lecture on Marriage, at our last Conference, that Jesus Christ was married at Cana of Galilee, that Mary, Martha, and others were his wives, and that he begat children." Journal of Discourses 2:210, Orson Hyde, March 18, 1855
----------------

"It will be borne in mind that once on a time, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and on a careful reading of that transaction, it will be discovered that no less a person than Jesus Christ was married on that occasion. If he was never married, his intimacy with Mary and Martha, and the other Mary also whom Jesus loved, must have been highly unbecoming and improper to say the best of it." Journal of Discourses 4:259, Orson Hyde
--------------------

"We have now clearly shown that God, the Father had a plurality of wives, one or more being in eternity, by whom He begat our spirits as well as the spirit of Jesus His First Born... We have also proved most clearly that the Son followed the example of his Father, and became the great Bridegroom to whom kings' daughters and many honorable Wives to be married." The Seer, p. 172, Orson Pratt
----------

When Joseph Fielding Smith was asked if this meant that Christ had children, Joseph Fielding Smith wrote, "Yes! But do not preach it! The Lord advised us not to cast pearls before swine!" (Letter to J. Ricks Smith, dated March 17, 1963)
