Go to Independence, Missouri. You will find several RLDS / LDS chuches that put “Zion” in their name (on the church sign). Some call themselves “restoration branch”. It is because they believe Independence, Missouri is Zion.

They also say, "And the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory." But we know from Scripture that it is AFTER the millenial rule that God creates a new Heaven and new Earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Do they get anything right?

The LDS and RLDS have some differences...here is an article taken directly from the Salt Lake LDS regarding THEIR view of a millennium/post-millennium world. Bear in mind that this article is TO and ABOUT mormons, ie. the "righteous people":

People on the Earth during the Millennium

Quote: "At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be set free for a short time. Some people will turn away from Heavenly Father. Satan will gather his armies, and Michael (Adam) will gather the hosts of heaven. In this great struggle, Satan and his followers will be cast out forever. The earth will be changed into a celestial kingdom. (See D&C 29:22–29; 88:17–20, 110–15.)"

Only temple-worthy mormons will be allowed into the "celestial kingdom".
