I strongly support the right of the Egyptian people to have free elections and free markets and true opportunity in the 21st century. What’s more, I want the Church to be free to share the gospel and win Muslims to faith in Jesus Christ, make disciples and plant new congregations without government oppression and without violent attacks by Radical Muslims. I do believe Mubarak has stayed too long. He has not responded to the yearning of the Egyptian people to be free. His day is coming to an end.

That said, however, I don’t want to see the Muslim Brotherhood win. For all of Mubarak’s sins, he is not a Radical. He doesn’t want to launch a jihad against the U.S., Israel or the West. He has maintained the peace treaty with Israel.

This is Obama’s revolution.

His administration has been working feverishly behind the scenes to destabilize Mubarak, and the Egyptian military.

They truly do want a radical Moslem regime in Egypt, just as Carter wanmted the same in Iran. The difference between Carter and Obama is that Carter had no idea what he was advocating.

I believe Egypt will NOT seek out Islamic leadership, they are much smarter than other middle east nations, they want future US subsidies and tourism.

They know that a future with Islamic Brotherhood will cut off relations, tourism and a positive view, especially when the next President takes over in America.

One who is NOT a Moslem.

I’m joining Joel in his prayer.....”that Mubarak would hand the keys to the kingdom to a group of Reformers, men truly committed to steadily expanding hope, growth and opportunity for all their people, and doing so in a way that creates order and stability, not an opening for the Muslim Brotherhood to seize control.”

You know, even with this somewhat religious bent to the article, I think that this would be a very good addition to the News/Activism Forum.

It explains the situation VERY well and I think that a lot of people would be glad to see it.

Could it be reposted there without the risk of having it pulled as a dupe?

Or would it be better to have it moved there? I don’t know if you’d want it moved, wmfights.

When he isn’t pushing his dispensational end time stories Rosenberg is a very astute observer of the middle east scene.

I am praying, therefore, that the Lord would be merciful to the people of Egypt, … But I know that ultimately the Lord is in charge, and this — and nothing else — is what should give us all hope.

This is an odd conclusion by a confirmed global holocaust futurist like Rosenberg.

If God is in charge (which obviously He is), and the futurists have a notion that global suicide overseen by the futurist antichrist is just over the horizon, what hope is there to offer to the Egyptian people … or anyone in the middle east, for that matter? Their destruction is at hand. Indeed, this may the “birth pangs” of that soon destruction. In the futurist scenario, they will go up against Israel and their virtual annihilation will take place.

What’s odd about all this is that confirmed global holocaust theorizers what to offer hope to a people for which there is no hope (in their system). The only real hope is for Christian rapturists like Rosenberg, who will miss the bloody mess.

But rapturists want to offer hope in spite of their hopeless theology. They are like an Arminian who prays that God will save his dying mother even thought his theology tells him that ultimately mother’s salvation is according to her own free will choice. Deep down they want to believe, and have hope, but their god can do nothing. Great Tribulation will be upon the world before we know it.

What real hope is there for the Egyptian nation in the rapturist system? Absolutely none. They are bound to doom and destruction. Perhaps some small remnant might escape, but the fate of the majority is sealed, and will come to an end Real Soon Now®.
