Our church has different charisms, different ways to serve God. The way of the cloister is to be in prayer and contemplation for the world, so the prayer is constantly taking place.
My husband and I used to take daytrips to the abbeys when we were stationed in Germany. In the ones we went to (can’t remember the names) the monks would brew a fine beer and serve it up in very large steins ...great times and they’re located in beautiful parts of the country.
