Randall Terry for President?

The News is Getting Around...

Starting to cause a stir...

Dear Friend,

Randall TerryI am praying about running for President in 2012. Please read the following news stories that discuss this:

Last month, Washington-area residents watched dozens of TV commercials that featured gruesome images of aborted fetuses. In two years, many more Americans might be faced with similar ads if a prominent anti-abortion activist makes good on his plans.

Randall Terry -- the fiery activist who recruited D.C. resident Missy Reilly Smith to run for congressional delegate, thus clearing access to the airwaves -- announced this week that he plans to recruit candidates to run for Congress in the nation's 25 largest media markets, expressly to air graphic TV commercials.

And Terry, whose group Operation Rescue pioneered in-your-face abortion clinic protests in the late '80s, is also considering a run for president in 2012 -- which would give him the ability, he said, to run a commercial in the most coveted airtime in American television: during the Super Bowl. --Mike DeBonis

-------

Smith's recruiter and mentor was pro-life activist Randall Terry.

Terry and Smith have decided Smith's campaign was so effective they want to recruit 25 like-minded congressional candidates in the country's top 25 media markets to run in the 2012 election cycle. By so doing, one-third of the nation could be educated on the horror and reality of abortion, says Terry.

I'm excited about this. I know Smith got calls from pro-lifers around the country during her campaign interested in duplicating what she did. There is great potential. Jill Stanek.

I beg your prayers, Randall Terry

The man is brilliant! I hope this takes off (my daughter, btw, took the above photograph of Terry during March for Life, Washington 1-22-10):
"I am under no delusion that I can win," Terry stated. "But we know that debate concerning the truth of abortion could be brought into the political spotlight just by carefully placing one ad on national TV before Super Tuesday." Link.

If you’re an avid pro-lifer, it’s an awesome idea. Look what Missy Smith accomplished.

She captured a really nice, well-composed photo. There is a certain drama to the photo as well. I hope that Mr. Terry can continue to advance the Prolife cause!

You’re against showing abortion ads on the television?

Thanks Steve. I’ll tell her. She got all her talent from her mother. *laughing at my lack of humility*

While I applaud Randall Terry's mission and zeal to save unborn babies, I'm not sure that he is the most effective spokesman for the movement (and certainly not Catholic Orthodoxy).

There is a beautiful book he wrote you might like to read or glance over.
"In honor of His Holiness Benedict XVI," A Humble Plea, by Randall Terry.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s what his first wife used to say.

"I am under no delusion that I can win," Terry stated.

Then why even bring it up. If he wants to get one ad on T.V., he can campaign for that.

If you were active in the pro-life movement, you would have heard of him. He’s running for president (possibly) in order to place graphic advertisements regarding abortion on television like Missy Smith did (they worked together).

Yes, but bottom line, he’s still a community organizer and we know where that got us.
