Well, why don't all Mormon churches in the Western part of the world just send out invites to Muslims worldwide, and those particularly in the Middle East, to open up religious (& jihad) shop in their midst?

Islam and the LDS church have a lot in common. They’re both cults, started on the word of one wild-eyed, pedophile fanatic.

Maybe they took their lead from this class: Catholic-Muslim Program - Catholic Theological Union:
The Catholic-Muslim Studies Program is dedicated to building bridges of mutual understanding and profound respect between Muslims and Christians. The vision of this program is to create significant opportunities for the relationship between Muslims and Christians to deepen, and to reflect only the noblest values and highest ideals of their common spiritual heritage.

Our church regularly includes in our prayer time that God would turn people away from the muslim faith to a faith in Christ -- and at one time we used Muslim outreach and common meetings to acheive that goal.

So, by offering use of their meetinghouse, are you saying they are setting up a possible jihad shop?

2 John 7-11

7Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. 11Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

Take note of the last verse.

Allowing them to use space in the Morman church gym is AOK with me.

This way their imams won't have secret storage places for assault weapons and ammo vests.

I LUV transparency!

"The members of our church have been very enthusiastic about it."

Religious slumming.

Reminds me of the intellectual slumming of New York City rich leftist elites like the late Leonard Bernstein and his wife.

They consistently invited unkempt, vulgar, enemies of our country, the beret-topped Black Panthers, to their regular weekly artsy-fartsy exclusive salons....sending drooling tingles down every guest's liberal legs and onto the apartment's expensive carpeting.

This made them more tolerant and open-minded than the mere mortals who lived in all the Toonervilles outside of NYC.

So it is with these ignorant Mormon swooners.

[Stourme]
We Latter-day Saints know Jesus Christ, we strive to keep His commandments and He knows us and He guides us. He is our savior and through His grace we are saved. He is my friend.

It's important to know the difference between the Latter-day Saints and those who Paul said

2 Tim 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

The difference is clear. Jesus Christ, the savior of all men, who never stops inviting us to follow Him, does not breed fear and hatred toward other people. No, not even Muslims.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 5

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind ; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil ;

1 Cor 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing .

A true follower of Jesus Christ has charity toward all people. A true Christian loves all people even their enemies. It is impossible to enter heaven with out being charitable.

In this same spirit of charity, Catholics used the LDS Tabernacle on Temple Square in Salt Lake City to hold mass while their own building was being built. On land donated to them by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Clarification: She belongs to an “interfaith” fellowship that meets once a month.
