"Porous, ambiguous, deceptive", the famous Mainz Canon Lawyer, Father Georg May, let loose a scathing condemnation on the departing president of the Vatican Office for Unity.

Mainz canon lawyer, Father Georg May, said this for the Catholic Monthly 'Kirchliche Umschau' about the new President Emeritus of the Papal Office for Unity, Walter Cardinal Kasper (77).

Great article. Cardinal Kasper (and I say this as respectfully as I can) seems to have been solely concerned with ecumenicism, not giving a hoot about proper Catholic theology. I’m glad that he’s retiring, and I wish it had happened some time ago. His “co-service” with the lutheran individual back a few really set me off. A cardinal should know the rules about such far, far better than I. I wish the best to his successor, and likewise wish for an end to all the progressivism in the Church.

The best part of all this from our certain perspective is that this condemnation is actually coming from a priest in the Diocese of Mainz.
