Many people in England have decided to undertake a great project, to prepare for the Pope's visit with prayer.

London [kath.net] Bad premonitions and threats against the upcoming papal visit have proven enough on the English side: some want to make provocative gifts to him like imprisonment or law suits.

I share these premonitions. I just can’t shake the feeling that this visit is going to be marred in some way.

England is mostly pagans and Muslims now, not a good place for the Pope to be.

That depends on what you think the Pope’s function and priorities are. If you think he should be shepherding “his” flock, then yes...he should stick to Rome. If, OTOH, you think his shepherding duties involve trying to recover the “lost sheep”, then England is probably a very good place for him to be.
