And history shows us time and again that it is NOT found under "Catholic government."

Did we ever have a “faithful” Catholic in government? I’d like to see Jindal in a higher position, because I’m pretty sure he’s one ...

As I watched this video, I thought of all my fellow Catholics who voted for pro-abortion candidates, who voted for candidates who then appropriated money for Planned Parenthood, who seem to think that government-provided welfare is equivalent to charity, and who approve of confiscating wealth from the productive and transferring it to the nonproductive. Sorry, but I don't think we Catholics are any better than anyone else when it comes to good government.

"the only way to PREVENT A DEMOCRACY FROM COMMITTING SUICIDE is to limit the vote to faithful Catholics."
The key word is "faithful." CINOs are no better than anyone else, it is true.

His argument is that democracy is doomed to fail, due to Man's fallen and sinful nature. The current state of these United States certainly supports that thesis.

He argues for Monarchy, with a Godly monarch ... which would be fine, if such a person could be found. Unfortunately, the history of monarchy isn't much better than the history of this Republic.

Good government is an oxymoron.

The last thing that we need is a theocracy, regardless of the religion. That has been tried many times, and it has always led to disaster.

Examples of good Catholic REPUBLICS are Ecuador under Gabriel Garcia Moreno (1861-1865), and Portugal under Antonio de Oliveira Salazar (1932-1968) voted in a poll on state television channel RTP as “The Greatest Portuguese Who Ever Lived.”

Moreno was murdered by the Masonic Liberals. Salazar was around a long time. The Portuguese people must have done something good to deserve such a good leader for so long.

Gabriel Garcia Moreno’s motto was “Liberty for everyone and everything, except for evil and evildoers.”

Beautiful. He's exactly right on every point.

Maybe now folks will finally realize that "traditional American conservatism" as it has been known is neither traditional nor conservative. It is a farce and a fraud — good old-fashioned Jean Jacques Rousseau liberalism wrapped in a red-white-and-blue bathrobe. Maybe now they will begin to see that the Constitution, the Statue of Liberty, and Wall Street are part of the same monstrous history-spanning project that brought us the French Revolution, the Soviet Union, and two World Wars. Perhaps now they will come to see that real capital-C Conservatism has nothing to do with individual Liberty and everything to do with individual Duty, and that real Conservatism is not and cannot be divorced from the Christian religion and the historic Christian culture of the West prior to the so-called "Enlightenment".

We Catholics need do nothing but watch and pray. The house of cards John Locke and his contemporaries have built is about to come down upon its own foundation of sand. And after the crash comes, those of us who survive can once again take up the task given us by God after the last pagan empire fell: the construction of civilization based not upon Libery, Equality, and Fraternity, but upon Tradition, Family, and Property. In place of the fallen gods of atheistic Reason and individualist Liberty we will re-erect the twin pillars of Altar and Throne.

Thank you so much for posting this. Vive le Roi! Viva Cristo Rey!

In both of those cases you cite you also name the leader.
