Which neighborhood, perchance? I’m most familiar with the 2nd & John St area, and with the old 6-pack dorms (MRH). Both of those places have changed a lot since the U’s centennial.

Trailer park on north Lincoln Avenue. It was never anything but a slum, but it was what we could afford.

I passed through town a 4 or 5 years ago, taking my oldest to Carbondale. UI was massively built up since my days there. Depressing, to me.
