Get A Reality Check (The Truth Is What God Said)

There may be times in your life when things don't appear to be as God said, but God's word is still the trut(John 17:17). What you have to understand is the difference between fact and truth. A fact is something that is known to be true. And truth is the actual state of affairs, reality or actuality. So God's word is the truth even when it doesn't appear to be. Let me give you an example, in 2Kings 6:12-17 if you read that account you had 2 men in the same situation. Elisha's servant only knew the fact, but Elisha knew the truth. Then Elisha prayed that his servant's eyes(spiritual eyes) be opened and he saw what was in the spiritual, in other words he saw the truth.

You see your senses can't tell you the full story of the matter that's why a fact is something that is known to be true. All Elisha's servant knew was there was thousands against two, but the truth was there were more with them that out numbered those soldiers. Well, doesn't Psalms 91:11 say "He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Whatever is going on in the natural does not change the spiritual.

God's word has been changing what goes on in this physical world from the beginning of time. And it will continue to if you apply it as He said (Isaiah 55:11). For his word to return to him someone has to speak it. And not just speak it, but speak it in faith. And it's through faith and patience that you inherit the promises of God (Hebrew 6:12). The natural man does not receive the things of God for they are spiritually discerned (1Corinthians 2:14). So your natural man(senses) can't tell you the truth, but your spirit can. That's why we walk by faith and not by sight.

Very interesting post:

We also must remember that the living Father God Said:

Isaiah 55:
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
