They didn’t say that. Why are you reading into it?
You come across as blowing off their concerns, just like so many other people do.
Geez, yourself.

But then the segment took a turn when the moderator asked the man if he had any other children from his 'donations'. "Yes", he responded, "I understand there are more than 100 and I hope they don't all come looking for me", he laughed. The young girl's face became crestfallen. Her joyful blush was replaced with a grimace. How sad for that girl. Way to make someone not feel special.
He obviously has no interest in her, any more than the rest of them, and she's no dummy.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out she hates him now.
God's way is the best way.

Who is going to slam a loving, married couple who have tried everything to have a baby and end up using a donor sperm or egg and finally becoming parents? I seriously doubt those children conceived for that reason are the ones with the identity issues.

There's a recently-released movie (
The Back-up Plan) which concerns a single woman who wants to become a mother. She gets artificially inseminated, then meets and falls in love with the fellow who turns out to be the sperm donor. Bizarre.
"Zoe's a woman who has a hard time letting anyone into her life. She has a habit of pushing people away when they get close. She also wants to have a baby but because she has no man in her life decides to be artificially inseminated. Shortly after having the procedure she meets a guy named Stan whom she connects with. But she's still afraid to let him in and when she tells him about her pregnancy thinking he would bail but he sticks with her."

"Catechism of the Catholic Church" You know, we take a lot of flak for being Catholic, but when I look at all these strange happenings around us it's sure comforting to know we have the right compass to guide us through and clear up any doubts.

"Remember that G-d loves every baby." That does not mean he approves of the wrong/evil methods of their creation.

Maybe not, but worry more about crack whores and rapists, and let decent people who dream of becoming parents have that dream.

...and let decent people who dream of becoming parents have that dream. They're not just dreaming of becoming parents. Adoptive parents are parents. They're dreaming of being pregnant and giving birth.
I was sad for a long time because God didn't send us children, but we did as much medical intervention as the Catholic Church approves, unsuccessfully, and we decided to accept God's will and move on. Now, with Steve's health problems, I believe that God knew what a burden it would put on us to also be raising a young child.

..”while nearly half said they have feared being attracted to or having sexual relations with someone to whom they are unknowingly related.”
This is a greater possibility as time goes on as well as the biological problems that accompany it.
The human being needs to belong. This is why erasing identity in many other ways as well will never work.

“Even just knowing who he is.”
That’s true. Even just having a name and knowing a few facts about one’s father makes a difference, even if he died before the child could know him.
