The Rev. Moises Cotto, a 55-year-old East Orange resident who leads the Congregation of Yahweh Temple El Candelero in Newark, and 37-year-old Brenda Pabon of Middlesex County, both face kidnapping and child endangerment charges.
Cotto is also charged with aggravated assault and attempted aggravated sexual assault.
Prosecutors say Cotto and Pabon began an affair after she sought counseling from the pastor.
Cotto was being held Wednesday on $1.3 million bail at the Union County Jail, while Pabon was being held on $750,000 bail. |

Nope. Just drinking my morning coffee. Thanks.
The difference with these “Protestant” abuses that you have to google is they stand out. Sad and pathetic that you have to post such examples because you think it makes pedophilia in the catholic sect acceptable.
Although you’re married, your facebook account says that you are interested in women. At least we know you’re not a priest.
If you say so.
And then, you have Moises Cotto, Jr., who says he is a Messianic Jew.
Are we to conclude that this demonstrates just how good decades of child sex abuse by priests, into the thousands of cases, is in comparison to Cotto forcing teens to videotape him and a female having sex in a hotel, according to prosecutors?
At least the man is being held to account for his perversion instead of excused and rationalized away.
Damn Amish! By the way, is this moron Jeremiah Wright’s twin????
hold on the hate Mormon fanatics will be here shortly!
Cardinal Edouard Gagnon described a conversation he had with John Paul II: [T]he Holy Father... told me, "error makes its way because truth is not taught. We must teach the truth.... not attacking the ones who teach errors because that would never endthey are too numerous. We have to teach the truth." He told me truth has a grace attached to it. Anytime we speak the truth.... an internal grace of God... accompanies that truth. The truth may not immediately enter in the mind and heart of those to whom we talk, but the grace of God is there and at the time they need it, God will open their heart and they will accept it. He said, error does not have grace accompanying it. --Link.

Evidently they don’t stand out enough:

The bottom line to all these stories is we live in a sick society where our children have been sexualized by the culture. The attempt by the media to make it a Catholic problem is the most direct path they can take to marginalize Christians and shut them up. You hear a lot about the Catholic Church in crisis over “pedophile priest sexual abuse scandal”, but never hear of the same level of scandal occurring elsewhere. They fail to focus on abuse in other groups (schools, other religions) because their concern has little to do with the safety of children and more to do with a political agenda.
Haven’t you learned it is better to shut up about these abuses? That has worked so well in the past. ;0)
Well, I guess I forgot that the only place that has abuse is the Catholic Church.
Oops.
But, seriously, these are the last threads I will ever post about abuse occurring anywhere else in Christendom. Apparently people are so thin-skinned that they can't take it.
A very strong light needs to be focused on these child abusers. I agree with Luke 17:2. “It would be better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones”.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with posting these articles. The truth hurts and some people can’t take the truth. And no I am not Catholic but if the Protestant churches keep leaning liberal who knows.
That's because there is not the same level of scandal, anywhere...
Pervert priests are not the scandal...The Catholic Church hiding, protecting, and encouraging these perverts by moving them to 'fresh' ground when things get too hot to handle is the scandal...
Your religion is a breeding ground for sexual perverts...
Here, Here!! Well said.
WOW....
Have a nice day, yourself, fella!
What??? What other organization can a child molester join and be free from the laws of Governments???
Sorry the truth hurts...Quit whining and making excuses and do something about it...
