If their beliefs were more in line with Christian beliefs, then they would more likely be welcome in the fellowship of believers. Why would the LDS want in?

When the light rested upon me I saw two personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. Call us “whores of Babylon” that is Christians and until a few years ago bristle at the thought anyone would refer to you as such and now “I want to be called a Christian” and if you don’t “I’ll stamp my feet and hold my breath”.
