I love how allegations of sexual abuse are taken so seriously that the her bishop has to be brought in to broker the extortion deal.
It seems that the LDS church had as much at stake as Garn did. I wonder where all the money came from? Or if a brokers fee was charged? There are no good guys in this situation, only horribly twisted people. It is too bad that NOT one person here did the correct thing as this would have ended a lot sooner and with a better outcome.
And if you had been sexually abused by an authority figure in your youth such that you know it confounded your later life, you too might look for restitution or justice of some type.
