I remember waking up on that September 2008 morning. Breathing was difficult. Could not "catch" my breath. As the shortness of breath grew more serious I called my wife and told her I think I need to go to the hospital.
911 brought the paramedics. They checked my blood pressure. 220 over 120 with a pulse of 100. The trip to the hospital was quick and it was determined I was in congestive heart failure.
Three days in the hospital and a battery of tests and I was released and told to see my Internal Medicine doctor. He looked over the tests results and told me "you need a new heart, you're going to have to have a transplant."
A visit to a cardiologist was next. He paced the floor of the exam room, (literally) ringing his hands saying, "you're heart is in very bad condition. You could die at any moment. You need a transplant and time is of the essence."
I told him I wanted to think about what he said and to get another opinion.
A second cardiologists was consulted and advised that we would not do anything dramatic right then. She advised a slower, one step at a time approach. My wife and I agreed.
We called our family and friends (including freeper friends) and asked to be included in their prayers and added to their church prayer lists. This, to me, would be the only thing that would help. I felt strongly that I would not survive surgery, nuclear tests, etc. Friends in Cardiology nursing agreed.
This week I needed to see my Cardiologist to get clearance for a surgical procedure. After reviewing the new and most recent tests, scans, etc. the doctor looked at me and said. "your heart has rejuvenated itself. Your heart is normal. You no longer have a heart problem."
God had healed me. I knew and felt it instantly. Prayers had been answered. No surgery, so special treatments, nothing but time and God.
I know God healed my heart but, many of you asked him to. Had friends and strangers not asked, it may well have not happened.
Thank you. Thank you for the days I have been given with my wife and family. Thank you for allowing me to see my son get married. Thank you for allowing me to visit relatives and see and talk with them rather than they coming to see my put in the ground. Thank you for all you have given me. I promise you every effort will be made to be worthy of this blessing.
I have other health issues. Serious ones. But nothing is too big nor too bad for God. Please keep me in your prayers and know that you are in mine.
Trust in God. Turn problems over to him. Walk away from the problems and leave them in His hands. I do not know how may days I have but, each day will be because of you and God. Again, Thank You and Praise Him.
Please forgive any misspellings/errors. I am doing the best I can through eyes that have been moist for several days now.
Praise God! May He continue to hold you in the palm of His hand.
Amazing!
OUTSTANDING! Great news! Glad to hear that you were blessed in such a way.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome story!!!
Wonderful news. Thank you for sharing it. Prayers for your continued blessings.
My preacher is fond of saying that we humans have a God shaped hole in our heart that - naturally - only God can fill.
I believe that God has filled - and healed - your heart.
Wonderful story.
Praises to our most awesome God! This just goes to show that He is still in the miracle making business! Go forth and glorify Him with your testimony.
Amazing...beautiful..God is great!
Thank you for sharing! God bless.
What a grand story! (I take powdered magnesium and cayenne pepper — liquid form — for heart health, and it’s worked out well for me.) Happy you were able to go to your son’s wedding. Every day is a gift!
Thank you for your story, it renews the faith of many including mine. Thank you Father, for your blessings on all of us, and on this man.
To God be the glory for His mercy, grace and healing! May He continue to surround you and your loved ones with peace, strength and His loving care.
Our God is a healing God! Praises to Him for bringing you to this point.
Beautiful healing. Thanks for reminding us what is important.
