I told my wife that Obama is one of two things:
1. He IS the antichrist and he will win until brought down supernaturally in the last half of the Tribulation.
2. He is the incompetent boob we think he is and he is going to go down hard, probably taking us with him.
I don’t see any other possibility really.

The term 666 refers to how much money Salomon got in taxes one year after he ‘went rouge’ on God. This was considered an unbearable burden on the people of ancient Israel. Obama raised close to 666 million dollars and his policies will eventually raise taxes to an unbearable level.
So John with this in mind says: “His number will be a number of man. His sign will be that he will place unbearable taxes on the people”.

He will be considered a man of peace. Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.
The bible mentions a “Head Wound” as one of the things about the Antichrist.
This means something that is a mortal wound, that will stop you in your tracks, that will make normal life impossible.
Could it be the fact that legally he is ineligible to serve?
Certainly that would have been a mortal wound for most presidential campaigns.
It has been reported that one of his first major acts as President was to federally fund stem cell research (which is superfluous since adults stem cells will do) and to fund abortions worldwide. Not only does this sound exactly like the first thing that the AntiChrist would do, Europe is already in danger of going to Sharia law because of low birth rates of Christians compared to Muslims.
While it is widely accepted that the Catholic Church will be the instrument of the devil in the end days, actually the antichrist will have a confrontation with the Catholic Church. This story broke recently:

The antichrist is expected to be rather hard on Israel. This looks like it might be shaping up. It also looks like he will use the ‘fairness doctrine’ to silence talk radio, the Internet and Fox news. He has talked about a ‘civilian force as well funded as the military’ that will NOT be like Nazi brown shirts. Well I am not saying he is the antichrist I am just mentioning this for consideration.
And hopefully he’ll be out of office in 2012.

The king of the north is a generic term for whichever king of the Seleucid empire is being described in Daniel 11, just as the king of the south is that of the Ptolemaic empire. Daniel is talking about what for us is real history in our age, and what from his point in history would come to pass in the future. Daniel’s purpose, as someone else on this thread pointed out, is to direct the attention of his hearers/readers to the Christ, who was to come. The Bible is not about America, it is about the Savior of the world.
It would be better for everyone to use Hal Lindsay’s Late, Great Planet Earth, and the writings of every Hal Lindsay wannabe or disciple who came after him, for fireplace starter, and just read the Bible for what it plainly, simply, clearly declares itself to be: John 5:39.

Is it just me or does that first sentence seem to be talking about President Bush? The TARP bailout and within days he was out of office without a battle or anger, just left as his terms were up.
Then it moves on to Obama.
