Back in the 90s when I was a poor student, I figured I could get a free meal by walking 1 mile to the benny hinn concert, er, i mean “evangelism” crusade event in Louisiana. I had never been before and wasnt sure what to expect since I had only seen Hinn twice on TV. Well, I was told that I couldn’t sit anywhere *near* the front row unless I had “gold” member” status (I think this was before the Mike Meyers flicks). Anyway I ask the guy what “gold member” means..he says “well that means your a big donater to our cause!”
To this day I still second-guess myself on whether I truly know what he meant by “cause”.
