The search for an identity that began after the collapse of Communism remains a critical question for Russians. The Orthodox Church is the only institution that unites Russians with their “near abroad” and has survived throughout the country’s long history. Today, the state needs the church much more than vice-versa.

Maybe, once again the Orthodox Church, the Russians, and the Serbians will rise to save our infidel (western) civilization from ISLAMIC onslaught.

The Orthodox Christian world includes lots more than Russians and Serbians...although without them the task will be much more difficult.

To put it in the proper perspectiuve: the Russian Church represents about 80% of the world Orthodox; the Serbs about 3%. That between 6/7 and 7/8 of all Orthodox put together.
