My dad, a retired ELCA pastor who joined a Missouri synod church, told me that every time homosexuality is mentioned, in the Bible, it’s condemned. I know an ELCA member who supports ordaining gays and holding gay weddings. I asked her, “Which Bible verses state that God approves of homosexuality?” She said, “I can’t think of any, but I hope that God doesn’t want us to discriminate.”
