Pray for our American Heroes

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. (Ps. 27:14, amp)

TOPICS: Prayer; Religion & Culture; Religion & Politics
KEYWORDS: 2ndammendment; military; pray; prayer
Most High God, we come to You in the name of Jesus, asking for divine protection for our separated military men and women. By our prayers, they are separated unto You. We pray for the safety of each one. Keep them from harms way and provide protection from plans of destruction our enemies have plotted. Stop strategies of destruction our enemies would try to evoke. Give wisdom, understanding, and discernment to those who lead them. Help them all to be watchful and alert to signs of wrongdoing. Provide insight to all national authorities on ways to guard, defend and insure their safety, both at home and abroad. (Prayer from, “Pray for Our Nation”)

We confess today that we choose to live by faith in order to please You. We wait and hope for and expect You alone, Lord. Our trust is not in our own resources or in the stability of earthly things because this world system will pass, but Your Kingdom remains forever. We are connected to that Kingdom by our confession and faith in the shed blood of Jesus. You are our Deliverer, our Strengthener and our never-failing Shepherd. We are of good courage and our hearts are stout and enduring as we pray today for the heroes You have given us.

**

We also pray today for the Second Amendment Sisters in their dedication to preserving “the basic human right to self defense”. Increase and expand their influence and fruitfulness, Sir. Show them how to accomplish their objectives and provide for them all the human and financial resources they need to complete this God-given assignment. We pray for the protection of all those involved and for their families as well. If any are outside Your covenant, we pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit and laborers to give them the message of Truth that Jesus is Lord.

Thank You, Sir, for answering our prayers. We honor You as the only God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth and securely on Your throne this day. Amen.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!

Dear God, who suffered
torment, agony and death upon the Cross
to free our souls from the chains of iniquity;
protect and defend our troops. Guide them in the
performance of their duties. Strengthen them to
endure hardship, danger and deprivation in Your
service. Let their efforts free the people of Iraq
and Afghanistan from the chains of terror and
slavery, foster a lasting peace in the region, and
bring all to a greater share in Your Mercy.
Amen.
