I don't need another book to explain it to me. I can use the Bible.

"... For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." John 6:33-35

Did O'Conner reference the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" in his explanation. It makes it quite clear that they believe the body and blood are truly present.

How did the yearly Passover meal, that was a REMINDER of GOD's salvation, EVER morph into a dinky RITUAL that is done every time the church doors are open?

Yes, Catholics believe the Body and Blood are really present in the Eucharist. But do you understand what ‘real presence’ means to a Catholic, on their terms? That’s the point I was making. If you mount a straw man argument against the theology of the Eucharist, and your apologetics to a Catholic is that they believe ‘God lives in a wafer,’ they will rightfully laugh at your ignorance.
