You may have had someone else in mind but since there is abundant evidence that the first Christians worshiped on Sunday your reference to “silly little men” can only mean the Apostles.

...everyone here knows who the "silly little men were....and are"! Iconoclasts do indeed stand in stark contrast to the Apostles, fathers of the Church founded by Christ.
