According to the story, jews aren’t much of a threat at all. It is the christians that are the main enemy, and jews are almost benign.

This story is missing the part in which the Dajjal attacks the Mahdi with an army of 70,000 Jews from Isfahan. This is why the Mahdi flees to Damascus.
