Gene's Gay (Catholic) Get Together (Part 1 of 2 Posts)
CMR ^ | October 30, 2008 | Patrick Archbold

Not content with merely tearing his own Church apart, openly homosexual Episcopal New Hampshire Bishop Gene Robinson is now meddling with ours.

Apparently back in 2005 or so, Robinson helped lead a secret retreat of gay Catholic clergy. I cannot help but wonder that if it was so secret, why is he talking about it now. Can nothing stay in the closet with this guy? But I digress.

Bishop Gene helped lead the hush-hush homosexual huddle by telling his comrades that the best way to fight for gay rights in the church is to advocate for female ordination. The root of our deep seated homophobia, you see, is deep seated misogyny. Yes, we hate women too.

About 75 Catholic clergy from around the U.S. participated without notifying their bishops or provincial leaders, Robinson said. In 2005, the Vatican issued a document affirming the church's stance that men with "deep-seated" attraction to other men should not be ordained.

The retreat was held outside of New England, but Robinson would not say where...

..."at its root, the hatred of gays is driven by a hatred and second-class status of women," Robinson said...

"I had said to them, 'It's too dangerous for you to come out as gay to your superiors, but I believe that if you work for the ordination of women in your church, you will go a long way toward opening the door for the acceptance of gay priests," Robinson said.
Yes, let's follow Bishop Gene's advice and we can destroy our Church the same way he is helping to destroy his own. Or not.

See Gene, in the Catholic Church (although we certainly have our own problems) We are required to believe what the Apostles believed and what Jesus taught them. This has been faithfully handed down from generation to generation and is infallibly protected by the Holy Spirit. Sorry, but no amount of bath-house ecumenism is going to change that.

Mark those words! Then visit Part 2 (once I post it ;-)

Riiight. OBVIOUSLY hating women leads to hating gays! How could I have been so blind to the OBVIOUS!! [/sarcasm]

It would be funny if he wasn’t serious.

Thank you, prayers are much appreciated!

BTW - many, many years ago, a good fried (an Italian immigrant) said something I will never forget. This was in the early 70s and the feminist movement was beginning to gain momentum. My friend had studied Ancient Rome and Greece in school; this was mandatory in the Italian education system. He commented that throughout history, each time women rose to power, they were quickly followed by homosexual activists. It was not long afterwards that the respective civilizations collapsed. My friend promised that if America did not hold the feminist movement in check, we would witness a similar fate. At the time, I laughed. Not anymore.

It must be pretty rare for Vicki Robinson to speak the truth, but he actually hit the nail squarely on the head there.

say Robbie is lying through his eye teeth. He has never offered any evidence of this so called retreat. You would think he would be using it in his “I Am Just A Bishop From New Hampshire” promo items. His explanation that it had to be kept a deep, dark secret to protect the attendants is bunk. Robbie’s ego is far, far bigger than that little caveat.

And don’t forget priests just can not up and travel to wherever on a whim. Even seminarians would have to get permission for the expense of attending and traveling.

So consider the source and pray for all faithful. clergy who labor in the field.

The priests could merely take a vacation and pay for the trip themselves. It would be very easy for them to do this.

I have no doubt that this could have happened. I have seen more than my share of homosexual priests.

We must be on guard for the attacks of the enemy. Bishop Robinson is a heretic.

There is another reason I think this did not happen as Robinson described and that is if it had happened it would most likely have been attended by Catholic priests sympathetic to his views. Such priests would not have felt impelled to hide this. Since they are convinced they are correct and Rome a quaint anachronism when it comes to homosexuality. They would have been crowing from the rooftops about Gene’s insight and wisdom. Our dissidents tend to be a rowdy lot. If only we could get them to shut the heck up. Our uncle in the attic is crazy and loud. We can not hide him from visitors no matte what we do.
