ST. JUDE ELECTION NOVENA
We have an opportunity as Catholics to elect a President and Vice-President whose political platform is largely favorable to and supportive of Catholic moral and social teaching, especially on the pre-eminent Catholic moral issue of the right to life, and to keep out of power a President and Vice-President whose political platform is largely hostile to Catholic moral and social teaching, especially with regard to the respect and protection of all life from conception to natural death.
Let us pray a nine day novena to St. Jude, the patron of hopeless causes, for John McCain and Sarah Palin to win this election. Not because their victory is a hopeless cause, but rather because an Obama/Biden administration would be a near hopeless cause for the respect and protection of life and other critical Catholic moral and social beliefs.
This nine day novena begins on October 27th and ends on November 4th but begin praying it whenever you receive it.
Prayer to St. Jude:
O glorious Apostle, St. Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church invokes you universally as the patron saint of hopeless causes and of things despaired of. Pray for us that we may receive the consolations and favor of Heaven in all our necessities, tribulations and sufferings particularly for a McCain /Palin victory and that we may praise God with you and all the faithful throughout eternity. Amen. St. Thomas More, Patron of Statesman, pray for us. Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us. > Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory Be
PRAY IT. PRINT IT. PASS IT.
Such as that we also plea that McCain will not open the floodgates to legalization of millions of illegals on US soil?
Amen! and..AMEN!!
Thanks for the prayers, Catholic friends, who will be instrumental in electing John McCain and Sarah Palin! I wasn’t ready to pronounce this campaign a hopeless cause. But these prayers will be honored, I am sure.
Thanks, Dita. Love St. Jude...will pray this novena for “difficult cases” and also my daily rosary.
I have turned to St. Jude many times in my life.
St. Jude, Glorious Apostle and Faithful friend of Jesus, the name of the TRAITOR has caused you to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes you, universally as the Patron Saint of hopeless cases and things despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and succor of heaven, in all my trials and tribulations and sufferings, especially...........Thank you St. Jude to be forever remindful of these great favors, and I will do all in my powwer to encourage devotions to you, Amen.
