An Invitation to Pray for the Nation at a Public Square Rosary (Catholic Caucus)
American TFP ^ | 10/8/2008 | n/a

Posted on 10/09/2008 10:02:36 AM PDT by Pyro7480

On October 11, tens of thousands of Catholics will take to the public square in 3,500 locations nationwide to pray for the nation in these troubled times.

The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) and its America Needs Fatima campaign are inviting the public to join these Public Square Rosary rallies as a way of spiritually countering same-sex “marriage,” abortion and other immoral customs that are threatening the nation. The campaign believes human efforts to solve America ’s problems are failing. We must turn to God for real solutions.

The 3,500 Rosary Rallies in the Public Square will be happening at noon on October 11. We invite you to click here to locate the rally closest to you!

Please consider joining these peaceful gatherings of people in local communities who will pray the rosary publicly and proudly.

If you can, please come to the Public Rosary Rally that will take place in front of the Supreme Court of the United States, One First Street, NE, Washington, DC on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 12 noon.

As the TFP/America Needs Fatima website states, "The rallies are focused on the idea that human efforts to solve America’s problems are failing. America must turn to God for real solutions. This appeal comes in the form of what have come to be known as Public Square Rosaries where the Catholic faithful gather in public places with banners and signs, offering public petition, reparation and witness...."

"By praying the Rosary, participants are using the most powerful spiritual weapon of contemporary history. With the Rosary, Saint Dominic defeated Albigensian heresy, Catholic forces were victorious against the Ottoman Turks at the battle of Lepanto in 1571, Communists were expelled from Vienna in the 1955, and many more miracles and victories were won."

With the threat of an radically pro-abortion man being elected president, who will put judges who agree with him on the Supreme Court and sign laws that will overturn every law that tries to limit/regulate abortions, and our country continuing to go down the tubes morally, we need to pray as many Rosaries as possible, and make public demonstrations of our resolve to fight against the Culture of Death. I hope you can make it to your local Rosary Rally, if you can, come to the one in front of the Supreme Court!

For those who doubt the power of the rosary, I would like to point something out. One week prior to the media breaking the news of the Spitzer scandal, a group of Catholics gathered in the vestibule just outside the governor's office. They knelt down and prayed the rosary.

Coincidence? Absolutely not! The rosary is a very powerful prayer. I strongly suggest we all get on board and join others across this nation to pray at the Public Square Rosary.
