Kelso Pastor Charged With Multiple Rapes In Portland, OR
kptv ^ | 07.02.08

Posted on 07/02/2008 6:11:56 PM PDT by Coleus

A pastor was arrested in Kelso in late June and charged with a series of rapes going back to 1998. Portland investigators arrested 31-year-old Maximo Ake-Be, who is now a senior pastor at Iglesia de Dios in Kelso, Wash., and he was later charged with a series of rapes that occurred nearly 10 years prior, police said.

Portland police said they received reports from two girls that they had been sexually assaulted by a leader of their private in-home church, The Peach House, between 1998 and 2000. The alleged victims were about 8 and 12 years old at the time, police said. Portland police said they think there are may be more victims associated with The Peach House Church, Iglesia De Dios or the High Praises Fellowship Church -- which shares a space with Iglesia De Dios.

Police said there are no connections between High Praises Fellowship Church or Iglesia De Dios -- Ake-Be's current church -- and the charges against him. Ake-Be is facing charges of one count of first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, four counts of second-degree sodomy and nine counts of first-degree sex abuse.

Anyone with information should contact Portland Police Detective Mace Winter at 503-823-0182, or Kelso Police Department Detective Damon Blain at 360-577-3412.

I think they should just allow to marry. I am told that will solve the whole problem.

You know, this is going to sound like the dumbest question in the world, but.... why on earth do so many men want to have sex with girls that young??? Is it that they want sex and children are easier to control than adults, or ... do they actually PREFER children??

Um...you could ask the same question about female public school teachers and young males....

I guess you’d ultimately have to be a sick pervert to comprehend.

I don’t comprehend it either.

FWIW, it is counter-productive to enforce celibacy on someone who is not really gifted for it. Going through an ordination ceremony is not evidence that one is gifted for celibacy. BEING celibate is the only evidence of such a gift.

According to interviews that I have seen, these degenerates prefer kids. Some people just need a bullet in the head.

I think it’s his personal mission to prove that it’s not just Catholic priests who like to molest little kids. Hence the sarcastic reply about “allowing them to marry”. Doesn’t really make me more sympathetic towards the Catholic Church. Something about taking care of the beam in their own eye, I think.

Going through a wedding ceremony is not evidence that someone is gifted with fidelity either. Should we no longer hold married people to such a difficult standard?

I never knew it was such an active beat.

It's as if Willie Green got tired of posting layoffs and plant closings and "got religion", so to speak.

Once granted permission to engage in sex, the married are commanded to be obedient. There is no denied physical impulse they are struggling with. The unfaithful struggle with their will versus God’s will.

Therefore, the comparison doesn’t measure up on the important points.

To advance its agenda, the media-reformist alliance must first shake the trust of the faithful in their priests and bishops. To achieve this a veritable army of muckrakers was set in motion whose claims and findings are constantly paraded in the public eye. Additional pressure is being brought to bear by orchestrated efforts to seriously undermine Church funding - apparently a Call to Action idea (see Rourke) - thus crippling financial resources already burdened by a growing number of lawsuits seeking damages for sexual abuse. In a vain attempt to legitimize their subversive actions, reformists cast themselves as American patriots, with allusions to “the Boston Tea Party and the use of slogans like “no donation without representation.

I am suprized the two have not set up ping pong alerts.

The real news story here is Portland is a public insane asylum.

They do have Lars Larson as a conservative talk show host though.

But even Lars family had a stalker that is now behind bars.

**The Peach House Church, Iglesia De Dios or the High Praises Fellowship Church**

The churches mentioned here were not Catholic Churches. Or am I mistaken?
