My Goddaughter, Kathleen Jordan, was sitting in the car with her mother, waiting for her father and brothers to come out of WalMart.
Yesterday, her brothers were going to bring home a kitten from a girl at school, but that didn't work out. So Kathleen was pretty sad as she sat in the car wishing she had a cat.
She asked: "Mommy, why can't I get a kitten?
Her mother said: "If you want a kitten, then pray to Our Lady for one."
So, that is what Kathleen did. She prayed.
Ten minutes later, a lady knocked on the car door and asked: "Would you like a kitten? I have 4 in the box. You can pick the one you want."
Kathleen was amazed! She picked the kitten that she liked most, and thanked the lady for it.
The lady went away saying "God bless!"
So, the picture above is of the kitten that Our Lady gave Kathleen in answer to her prayer.
How about that!

A beautiful story. Thank you.
Storming heaven WORKS!!!
What a precious story, and such a precious little sleepy kitty!
note to self.....NEVER EVER tell kids to pray for a kitten.
Thanks for the heads up (and the sweet story)
What a delightful story. Thanks for posting it.
I used to have a silver tabby cat like that kitten.
Good thing she didn’t want a pony.
My neighbor is trying to give us a kitten.
I have an older sister who had her first two children, girls, 17 months apart. When they were 3 and 4, respectively, there were other mothers in our large extended family that were having babies, and so the little girls began pestering their mother for a baby brother. She told them sweetly that they needed to pray if they wanted a new baby in the family.
A little later that day, she spied them in their parents’ room kneeling before a crucifix and praying for a baby. Three weeks later, my sister realized that she was to be a mother yet again.
Years later, whenever the boy that my sister turned out to be carrying back then was being a nuisance to his two sisters, they would declare in mock disgust, “And to think we prayed for him!”
Eventually, BTW, that baby boy from heaven wound up with 3 little brothers as well.
This Public Service Announcement is brought to you free of charge, and its only object is to head-off the usual misapprehensions about "Mary equals God" that seem to have already crept into this "Catholic Caucus" thread. God Bless.
Man, do this/these person/people know the meaning of the word “caucus”? LOL! :-)
