I would like to offer praise up for several people...for svcw for providing this thread, revelation 911 whose idea for a non-denominational category at FR became a tangible entity, for the Religion Moderator who made this category possible, for mhgintn whose suggestion for a group prayer became the impetus for this thread, and for colorcountry...you know what your contribution was.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name.....

Exciting indeed! If someone has not experienced the Lord's Presence in a gathering for prayer, you are truly in for a spirit soaring experience because He is faithful to His promise and He will be in our midst regardless of the miles between us as we gather to pray for petition to Him in His mercy.

And if there are those who wonder at this promise to be in our midst when gathered in His name, I and others can share numerous episodes of His glorious work, even in mundane economic things ... remember, it is ALL for His glory, and by His Spirit His Presence is the focus for miracles.

"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst" Matthew 18:20

That is the promise that non-denominational churches are as valid as any denominational church.

If you want Jesus to be in the midst, then all you need is two or three gathered in His name.

No elaborate rituals, no fancy robes, no smoke and incense, just two... or three.... gathered... together... in His name.
