It isn’t the sexual abuse that so many find revolting - because that does go on everywhere, sad to say. And it will continue until Christ returns. But the cover up and the cover up of the cover up which went on in many places in many times that is revolting. Biblically, they should have been out of the church until a true repentance was seen. Intead, they were just transferred to a new flock of innocent and trusting sheep. That is the issue. The revolting sin was on a HUGE scale in the RCC. You don’t see that widespread coverup and shuffling anywhere else. Much less where people look to the leaders to be Godly.

You dont see that widespread coverup and shuffling anywhere else. Much less where people look to the leaders to be Godly. Are you sure? For the public schools, it is not only still covered up, but it is anathema to even speak of it. In the spiritual realm, are you sure that these abusers were never shuffled in Protestant circles? Even in cases where Protestant pastors were fired from or left one church, are you sure they did not simply go to another? Can any of us know, especially when some Protestant churches are not as centrally organized (which would affect the amount of records kept)?
You make a statement that cannot be proven when speaking of churches, and can be disproven when speaking generally.
Even when the Catholic Church is finally trying to make things right, it seems she is still abused, mocked, and scorned.
