Therein lies the proof that God is not a Marxist. The Bible’s social teaching emphasizes people to be personally responsible, compassionate, ethical, merciful and just. You do not need a government to do such things because it robs believers of God’s work within us to show Christ in all aspects of our lives.

Hey, nice summary of what used to right about America, and what's going wrong with it. Alexis DeToqueville (sp?) noted this -- the kindness that was infused throughout the society. Sure will miss it when it's all gone.

Seeing as how American "Christians" can even take the Goracle, Oprah the New Ager, and Wallis as even close to the gospel..that's some major Biblical ignorance going on. I'm wondering if just turning over these past few generations to others to teach and indoctrinate is finally bearing its sad fruit.
