I have never met a Muslim convert. But if I did, I’d buy him a beer — several even.
Great story. I’ve run across his videos before on YouTube and he is in my prayers. We should all pray for this man. I only wish that there would be more like him (especially in the Middle East) who would preach publicly on the false allegations made against Christianity by Muslims.
I can’t help but reason that if more Muslims realized that (with few exceptions) Christianity is their true heritage and realized that their ancestors were in most instances only converted to Islam “by the sword” - not by true faith and reason - they would be more open to considering the claims of the Church. It would be helpful if there were men like this one in many different Middle Eastern countries (for despite the gilded and somewhat misleading claims of “pan-Arabism”, there are many cultural differences throughout the Muslim world which truly splinter the religion in more ways than some Muslims let on).
This gentleman is doing a fine job preaching to the former Copts in Egypt, but it’d be great if we had a Maronite or Melkite doing the same in Lebanon, a Syrian Orthodox priest doing this in Syria, and so forth and so on. Nonetheless, may God bless the holy efforts of this good and faithful priest!
