One of the interesting points about the article (I knew nothing about Guy Fawkes Day until today) was the part you cited, specifically the mention of the "anti-Cathiolic" John Jay. Is this the same John Jay that the John Jay College of Criminal Justice is named after?

The John Jay College of Criminal Justice was commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to study the Catholic pedophile priest problem back in 2002. A surprising choice, if it's the same John Jay (yes, yes, I know - the original John Jay is dead)!
