That’s funny............The Pope says none of us Protestants are Christians and we shouldn’t take it personal. A Catholic had to have written that line.
Open threads can be very contentious. They are like a town square.
People will be offended as others condemn their beliefs. Articles and posters may claim that believers of certain things are "infidels" or "heretics" or "apostate" or "Satanic" or "cultists" or "lost" etc.
As long as they do not make disparaging remarks directed to another Freeper, personally - and are not reading the other poster's mind such as attributing motives - it is not "making it personal."
Thin-skinned Freepers should stay on the closed threads: devotionals, prayer threads and caucuses. Closed threads are treated as if they are happening behind the closed doors of a church.
