Sort of hard to “take it to the Church” when it’s invisible. While many Christians out side the visible Church are no doubt members of the body of Christ, it is despite of their membership in a community rather than The Church. Besides what about the people who call them selves Christian and insist that Saturday is the real day of worship, not the pagan tradition of Sunday worship, are they part of the body? Is the five point Calvinist a member along with the free will Baptist, how about the AOG fella, and the LDS girl, are they in? How can you tell, and who gave you the what is and what is not orthodox Christianity cheat sheet? It's not in the Bible, at least not easily discernible because if it were, we wouldn't need over 30 listings of individual denominations in my local yellow pages.

The Church is the Body of Christ. You seem to be trying to fuzzy that simple truth. It doesn't matter that you disagree on various doctrines, any who are born again are in the Church. Rome is just one of many denominations. Now, we are all in agreement that Mormonism is not a Christian religion at all but election vs predestination, I've never been in a denomination where I didn't see both sides of that debate sitting next to each other singing hymns.

While one aspect of the church is the body of believers that share the same faith, one simple truth that Protestants deny, out of necessity, is the simple fact that Christ did establish a visible Church for our benefit. That visible Church exists and subsists in what has come to be called the Catholic Church. While many non Catholic are with out a doubt members of the body of Christ, that does not preclude the fact that there is, by design, one visible, discernible, true Church. Remember, there is one truth which is expressed in one faith, the path is narrow, remember?
