Any host will tell you that the guest list can be a ticklish issue. And none could be more so than the Archbishop of Canterbury's invitations to an important upcoming gathering of the bishops of the 77 million member Anglican Communion, which is currently embroiled in an angry internal debate over the ordination of gay clergy.
Earlier today Rowan Williams, the Canterbury Archbishop and thus the first-among-equals in the global religious group that includes the Episcopal Church in the United States, released a statement that he was sending out invitations for the 2008 Lambeth Conference of active Anglican bishops. Lambeth, which only meets once a decade, is the most important gathering of Communion leaders and the place where its most important decisions are made. Invitations also happen to be one of the few elements under the direct dominion of Williams, whose office is closer to coordinator-in-chief than Pope. The fact that the invitations had been sent was itself news they hadn't been expected yet. But at a related news conference, the Rev. Canon Kenneth Kearon, a Communion official, dropped a twin bombshell: Williams, he said, was not inviting the Right Rev. Martyn Minns, who is engaged in creating a conservative competitor to Episcopalianism in the U.S., or the Right Rev. V. Gene Robinson, the openly gay Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire.

Peter Akinola should ask Martyn Minns to attend as his delegate.
I suspect that ++Akinola won’t go to Lambeth and run a “Global South” conference in Africa somewhere. The fairy Robinson will convince the heresiarchs of TEC to stay home in solidarity with the sodomites of their “flock”. And the Archdruid Williams will go down in history as the man who doomed the “Anglican Communion”.
I hope not.
His position should be that he is the primate of the second-largest church in the Anglican communion (largest if you count people who actually attend Sunday service every week), that unlike the Bible-despising TEC he is a builder of churches where there were none and an effective evangelizer, and that he represents the historic mainstream of Anglicanism.
The problem is that communion with heresy is spiritual death. In the 7th century, the Monothelite heresy broke out in The Church and it was embraced by much of the Christian East. Even the hierarchy of the Western Church, though they held more or less firm against the heresy, maintained communion with the heretical patriarchs, particularly the Patriarch of Constantinople. St. Maximos the Confessor fought with all his might against this heresy and the Monothelite hierarchs. Eventually he was virtually the only hierarch in Christendom who refused communion with them. He wrote:
“Even if the whole universe holds communion with the [heretical Ecumenical] patriarch, I will not communicate with him. For I know from the writings of the holy Apostle Paul: the Holy Spirit declares that even the angels would be anathema if they should begin to preach another Gospel, introducing some new teaching.”
+Maximos prevailed and was able to convince even the Monothelite EP to renounce the heresy.
++Akinola is in a tough position, but he has to do what is right.

Vickie Gene in a snit about this...”At a time when the Anglican Communion is calling for a ‘listening process’ on the issue of homosexuality, how does it make sense to exclude gay and lesbian people from the discussion?” he asks.
That's exactly what he is. And feminists are feminazis, too! ALL are heretics, and feminism is the biggest and most dangerous heresy of our times!!!!
Then there are those who reduce Jesus Christ to a "teacher of lovingkindness" who came to "break down barriers between people". They make "inclusion" the "gospel", and say that there are many, equal paths to God, especially including islam. This is another Christ and another gospel, which the Holy Apostle Paul warned us against.
If it weren't for the feminazis, there would be no "inclusionists" and no pervert "priests", "bishops", "pastors", and "lay leaders". Feminism is the root of all heresies in the last part of the 20th and the first part of the 21st cemtury.
