I understand that they did discover the link between inadequate folic acid and neural tube defects (Spina bifida or anancephaly) and pushed for more folic acid in our diet, with the result that those defects have greatly decreased in recent years. Other than that most of their “birth defect prevention” seems to be killing babies with potential defects.

No support from me, either.

A friend of mine received tremendous support from the March of Dimes when she had two children born very premature. I can recognize the very good works they do, but their efforts in promoting abortion is just sickening. I haven’t yet figured out a way to discuss the issue with this friend, but hope to in the future.

My Godchild has Downs. When I think of an organization like the March of Dimes using their tremendous public clout to advance the cause of killing such children it makes me sick.
