***I don't understand why an article about abortion that happens to feature a Reformed Christian Pastor is a caucus.***

Because I don't want non-Protestants coming in and potentially bashing this Pastor. It is a way for Protestants to discuss abortion from our perspective, not the Catholic pov.

Thanks in advance.

This article mentions Catholic Charities. Are we free to discuss this organization?

Ok - I have to bite on this. Please consider this an educational opportunity.

What is the difference between the 'Protestant' and Catholic perspective.

Are you speaking for ALL Protestants?

This is a serious question.

I was not aware that there was a difference between the points of view of pro-life Catholics and pro-life Protestants on the subject of abortion.

I post a great many threads here about abortion and some of them deal almost entirely with Catholic efforts to end abortion. Yet on these threads I have always seen unwavering support coming from Protestant FReepers (and many of these have been Protestants with whom I have had heated debates with on theological issues). I have never seen any pro-life FReeper criticize another pro-life person simply because of their religious affiliation, and I would be ashamed if I did.

I have long found comfort in the knowledge that this is one area in which Catholics and Protestants can stand together in unity realizing how important this struggle is. And it is my belief that if we will not unite on this subject that the culture of death will be victorious and over ONE MILLION infants a year will continue to be slaughtered.
