Swedenborgs still pursuing building
Concord Journal ^ | August 24, 2006 | Casey Lyons

Though lagging a bit through negotiations, representatives from the Swedenborgian church say they are still actively pursuing the former Our Lady Help of Christians Church and plan to move to West Concord in the fall.

In April, negotiations between the town, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and the Swedenborgians seemed to be reaching their conclusion. Conservation and preservation restrictions were being ironed out and all parties seemed primed to complete talks by the beginning of summer.

Interviewed in March, Huard Smith, chairman of the Swedenborgian church Building Committee, anticipated a late-May move in date.

Now, six months later, talks continue, and though progress has been slow going, George Gantz, president of the Sudbury-based Swedenborgian Church, said due diligence continues, though, he admitted, "It has proven to be more complex than I think people anticipated."

He added: "Everyone is committed to getting it done and doing it right."

Though the going has been slow, all parties remain dedicated to reaching a favorable conclusion for all parties, Gantz said, adding his hopes that the process will wrap up in a "few weeks or months."

Thanks, Alex. I have a cousin Huard Smith which I haven't heard from in awhile -- wonder if it's him.

This is indeed a good sign. Slowly, the Lord's New Church is advancing. The Lord never rushes things -- they happen gradually.

The Catholi parish likely moved into a newer and larger facility to accomodate the many converts we have. My in-laws attend a parish in Austin that did just that. It was snapped up, though, by a protestant congregation that was downsizing.

Sorry, Dave.

That Swedenborgian cancer isn't growing, it's just expanding its rate of infection.

I'm devoting the rest of my life to prepare for Christs return. I've been called to do that and have had Divine revelations concerning it that I can say that they are as powerful as any apparition experienced by any Catholic miracle.

This article is spiritual. Just as the article on the confessionals was spiritual. The threads themselves have a spiritual sense to them, if you look.

You seem really bent on 'hurting me'. Remember it was you who went to my profile page to 'dig up dirt'? Why don't you take the extra click and check out my In-Forum messages back to 8/1? That should keep you going for years.

Remember, you never know who you are talking to.

John 16 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. 12 I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

Fake but accurate?

So you honestly believe that we Catholics are performing the sacred sacraments in strip clubs?

You honestly believe that members of Congress are dressing up as SpongeBob?

By all means, purchase a gross of tin foil for your headwear needs.

Read Chapter 17 of Revelation. Here is a summary of the spiritual sense:

Concerning the Roman Catholic form of religion. There is described in what sort of way it had falsified the Word, and consequently perverted all the truths of the Church (vers. 1-7): how it had falsified and perverted them with those who were subject to its dominion (vers. 8-11): that [this had occurred] less with those who had not so subjected themselves to its dominion (vers. 12-15).

The article describes the Catholic church in the same way.

Your pope this week talked about Revelation this week: Pope Benedict: Read Book of Revelation as Christ's victory over evil

That's a stretch - and I'm actually quite sad for you.
