I've been noticing a trend in the last several weeks amoung my friends, family, and co-workers. These are all "good," well intentioned nice people that have, on a personal level, all rejected God. Some are believing Christians, but only to the degree that they think Christ rose from the dead and flew away. Others have flat out committed apostasy, and concern for their eternity is quite valid.

Their lives have been going along well for many years. A few problems along the way, but nothing they couldn't handle. They're successful, nice, caring people. No need for that "God stuff" though.

In the last several weeks though, all in different ways, it's not going so well. Health issues, jobs, finances, suddenly it's not so easy.

So today I asked the Lord if this was a trend, and if He was allowing these things out of love, that perhaps these people would begin to question their stubborn independance from Him? Then I came home and saw this.
