In fact, the church requires exclusivity. Being a Christian requires much more than simply saying that Jesus died on one's behalf. It requires a total change of life and heart, a repentance from sin and a pursuit of holiness.Very well said.

Can a church that makes it's own tenants, scoffs at biblical teachings, and makes a mockery of it's own faith survive? Hell, in this anti-religious, anti-christian society it should thrive. But let's hope not.

They need a gimmick. Other than being pro homosexual, no one knows anything about the Episcopalian church. Catholics claim to be the first church, Mormons have the Book of Mormon, Seventh Day Adventists go to church on Saturday, Presbyterians are against Israel and for gun control. You need a gimmick and they don't have one.

It really takes no effort to be an Episcopalian. ECUSA makes no real demands of its members- not even for their money (giving in ECUSA is also dead last among American denominations). Other denominations are much more demanding of their members: Catholics, Baptists, Orthodox and Evangelicals are required to follow strict moral codes. Catholics have holy days of obligation, orthodox have three hour services (without chairs), and Baptists and Evangelicals have intense Bible studies and Sunday School classes. And then there's Orthodox Lent. It takes effort and sacrifice to join these denominations, and, as a result, their members are committed to them.
